Ready to Pivot
Privacy Policy
You’re often sharing something personal when you reach out about your career — uncertainty, ambition, a bit of doubt. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are
Ready to Pivot is a career coaching business run by Rebecca (Bec) Wiggins. We’re the entity responsible for the personal information you share with us through this website or during coaching conversations. The easiest way to reach us is hello@readytopivot.com.au.
We handle your information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Enquiries you send us. Your name, email address, optional phone number, what brought you here (Career Pivot, First Pivot, or still exploring), and the message you write.
- Questions you send us. Your name, email address and the question itself.
- Discovery call bookings. If you book a 30-minute career conversation through our calendar, we receive the name, email and details you enter at that time.
- Coaching information. Anything you choose to share with Bec during sessions, so she can tailor her support to you.
We don’t run advertising or analytics trackers on this site, and we don’t build profiles from your browsing. A small amount of technical data (such as your browser type and the pages you visited) may be recorded automatically by our hosting provider to keep the site running and secure — this isn’t used to identify individual visitors.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry or question, usually within a day or two.
- To prepare for and deliver your career conversations and coaching program.
- To send confirmations or practical updates about a booking you’ve made.
- To improve our services, including anonymised or aggregated summaries that can’t be traced back to you.
We won’t add you to a marketing list, and we won’t use your details for promotion unless you ask us to. If you’d like occasional updates from us, just say so.
Sharing your information
We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information. It’s only shared in these narrow circumstances:
- With our service providers who help us operate — website hosting and storage, calendar booking, and email. They act on our instructions and can’t use your details for their own purposes.
- With someone you nominate, for example a parent or guardian who is part of a First Pivot conversation.
- Where we’re legally required to disclose information, such as in response to a valid request from an authority.
Some of these providers store information on servers outside Australia. Where they do, we rely on their contractual and technical safeguards to keep your information protected.
Storage and security
Messages sent through our enquiry and question forms are stored in a secure database that isn’t publicly readable — details you submit can’t be browsed by other visitors to the site. Access is limited to Bec and the providers named above, and the connection between your browser and our site is encrypted.
Email isn’t a fully secure channel, so please avoid sending sensitive financial or health information by email. If you’d rather not put something in writing, we’re happy to talk it through on a call.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and question messages only for as long as it takes to respond and to follow up meaningfully — generally up to 12 months, unless you become a coaching client. If you do become a client, we keep the records relevant to your program for as long as professional and record-keeping obligations require. You can ask us to delete your details sooner (see below).
Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that’s out of date or inaccurate.
- Delete your information, where we’re not required to keep it.
- Stop using your details for any optional purpose.
Send your request to hello@readytopivot.com.au and Bec will handle it personally, usually within 30 days. There’s no charge, and no need to explain yourself.
Young people and under-18s
First Pivot supports school leavers, some of whom are under 18. Where a young person is under 18, we welcome enquiries from a parent or guardian, and we aim to be clear with both the young person and their family about whose information is being collected and how it will be used. We collect the minimum needed to help.
If something goes wrong
If you believe your privacy has been mishandled, please tell us first — hello@readytopivot.com.au — so we can investigate and put it right. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can raise a concern with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes to this policy
We may update this page as our services develop. Any changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date, so this page is always the current version.
You don’t need all the answers to begin.
